The genesis of style
It’s pronounced “ugghe” and it’s really hard to translate the word literally. Date hygge indicates a general sense satisfaction AND comfort given by the little things in life. A cup of tea sitting on the sofa, a soft and enveloping woolen blanket, the smell of a candle, a hot bath after a day at work. Simplicity, intimacy, warmth and security are the keywords of this lifestyle, which is part of the DNA of the Danish people. And this has become very popular in our homes.
